Christmas Light Installation in Coronado
Historic homes in the Village, waterfront properties in the Cays, and the streets around the Country Club. Clip-mounted, custom-cut, taken down in January, and stored until next year.
Coronado is about 30 minutes south of our La Jolla shop, bridge included. We schedule the island in blocks so the crew crosses once and works a full day here.

Christmas Lights on Coronado's Historic Rooflines
Coronado has some of the oldest residential roofing in San Diego County, and a lot of it is original. Christmas light installation in Coronado means working on hundred-year-old fascia, ornate eaves, turned porch posts, and dormers that were never designed with a light clip in mind.
Our rule on the island is simple and we do not bend it. Clips only. No staples, no nails, no tape, ever. If a stretch of trim is too delicate to hold a clip, we route the run around it and show you the alternative before install day rather than after.
- Clip-mounted roofline runs on original fascia and ornate eaves
- Porch, dormer, and bay window detailing
- Garland on rails, columns, and entries
- Wrapped street trees and front-yard palms
- Timers set so the block lights up together
Island Salt, and Parts That Survive It
Coronado gets weather from both sides. Ocean spray on the west, bay air on the east, and almost no shelter in between. It is the harshest address on our whole service list for anything with a metal contact in it.
That is why nothing consumer-grade goes on an island roof. Weather-sealed sockets, UV-stable wire, and commercial LED bulbs we own and inspect at every takedown. Anything that fails during the season, we come replace at no charge.
Permanent Lighting and Parade-Season Displays
Coronado takes December seriously, and a lot of homeowners here want the house looking right for more than one night. Permanent lighting puts a hidden channel under the fascia so you can go warm white most evenings and full holiday color when the block turns it on.
We also install temporary lighting for parties, receptions, and the events that stack up on the island through the season. Bistro strings, uplighting, entry lighting, set before guests arrive and gone the next day.
The Island Calendar Fills First
Coronado is a bridge crossing, so we schedule the island in blocks rather than one house at a time. Those blocks fill early. Book by September 30 and take 15% off, book in October and take 10%. November and December usually sell out.
Jobs start at $800, and Year 2 and Year 3 come in 10% under your Year 1 price. Call or text (858) 315-1247 to get a block held for your street.

FAQ
Coronado lighting, common questions
- With clips sized to your fascia, and nothing else. No staples, no nails, no tape, no adhesive. On original trim we test the fit in one spot first, and if it is not right we change the plan instead of forcing it.
- All three, plus the Shores. We schedule the whole island together on the same install days, so where you sit on Coronado does not change your price or your timeline.
- Happily. Bring us a photo, a bulb color, or just point at the house down the street. We will match bulb type, spacing, and color temperature so your roofline reads as part of the block instead of the one that is off.
- Usually by mid-October. We run the island in scheduled blocks because of the bridge, so once a block is full the next opening can be a week or more out. September booking gets you the date you want and 15% off.
