Christmas Light Installation in Solana Beach

Holiday lighting for the bluff, the beach cottages west of the 101, and the Lomas Santa Fe side of town. Designed, hung, serviced, and taken down by a family crew out of La Jolla.

Solana Beach is about 20 minutes up I-5 from our La Jolla shop. It shares install days with Del Mar and Encinitas, so the coast route usually gets you an earlier date than the inland calendar.

Two Towns in One Zip Code

Solana Beach splits at the train tracks. West of the 101 it is beach cottages, low rooflines, and bluff-top homes that take salt spray straight off the water. East of the tracks, up Lomas Santa Fe, it is ranch homes and two-stories around the golf course, where the marine layer still settles every morning but the wind is gentler.

Those are two different lighting jobs. A cottage west of the highway wants a tight, clean C9 line that reads from the street without fighting the house. A Lomas Santa Fe two-story has the long fascia runs and the entry trees that carry a bigger design. We build the plan to the side of the tracks you live on.

  • Warm-white or classic C9 roofline runs, custom-cut to the house
  • Wrapped palms and torreys along drives and entries
  • Wreaths, garland, and window candles on entries
  • Smart timers, on at dusk, off when you say
  • January takedown and free off-season storage

Built for the Bluff

Homes along the bluff sit in some of the saltiest air in the county, and December brings wind with it. Consumer strands from a hardware shelf corrode at the sockets and sag at the clips by New Year's.

Everything we hang is commercial-grade: weather-sealed sockets, UV-stable wire, and clips sized to your fascia so runs stay straight through a windy week. The lights are ours, so anything the ocean gets to anyway is our problem to replace, not yours.

Small Rooflines Welcome

A lot of Solana Beach west of the 101 is compact single-story homes, and owners assume a pro install is not worth it at that size. It usually is. Our minimum is $800, which covers roughly 100 feet of roofline at $8 per linear foot, and a clean line on a small cottage often looks sharper than a big house half-done.

If the design comes back over what you want to spend, tell us the number and we redesign to it. Plenty of Solana Beach jobs are a roofline, one wrapped palm, and a wreath, done well.

When to Book in Solana Beach

Installs booked by October 31 are 10% off. Booking now locks in both your price and your install date, and November and December usually sell out. The November calendar fills first, and the coast route fills before the inland one.

Year 2 and Year 3 run 10% under your Year 1 price, because the design and the custom cutting only happen once. Call or text (858) 315-1247.

FAQ

Solana Beach lighting, common questions

Roofline C9 runs $8 a linear foot on the first story and $10 on the second, with an $800 minimum, and most homes land in the $1,200 to $2,400 range all-in. A compact cottage west of the 101 sits near the bottom of that range; a Lomas Santa Fe two-story with wrapped trees sits near the top. One fixed price, takedown and storage included.
