Holiday Lighting in Point Loma & Ocean Beach
Christmas Light Installation in Point Loma
Sunset Cliffs, La Playa, the Wooded Area, and down into Ocean Beach. Spanish revival rooflines, clay tile, and harbor wind, handled by a crew that works this coast all year.
Point Loma is about 20 minutes south of our La Jolla shop, so the peninsula runs as one route and Ocean Beach gets scheduled on the same days as Sunset Cliffs.

Christmas Lights Across Point Loma and Ocean Beach
Christmas light installation in Point Loma covers a lot of ground in a few square miles. Spanish revival homes in the Wooded Area, bay-facing properties in La Playa, cliff-edge houses out on Sunset Cliffs, and beach bungalows down in Ocean Beach that want something looser and more colorful.
We design to the house, not to a package. A red tile roof with deep eaves needs different spacing than a flat-fascia bungalow, and a bay-view home needs a run that still reads from the water side.
- Roofline runs shaped to Spanish revival eaves and gables
- Arch, courtyard, and entry lighting
- Wrapped palms, pines, and the big trees in the Wooded Area
- Colorful C9 packages for Ocean Beach bungalows
- Timers so the display runs itself all season
Tile Roofs Get Handled From the Edge
Clay tile cracks under a boot, and Point Loma has more of it than almost anywhere else in the city. A cracked tile is a leak the following February, and the homeowner is the one who finds out.
So we work tile from ladders and the roof edge, with clips that grab the tile lip or the fascia instead of anything driven into it. If a section genuinely cannot be reached safely, we say so at the consult and design around it.
Harbor Wind and Heavy Salt
The point catches wind off the harbor on one side and open ocean on the other. Strands that are not clipped tight sag by week two, then flap until a socket gives out. Add the salt load out here and consumer light strings do not stand a chance.
Our clips are cut to your fascia and spaced to hold in wind, and the bulbs are commercial grade with sealed sockets. We own the lights, we inspect them at every takedown, and in-season repairs are included.
Permanent Lighting and Ocean Beach Events
Permanent lighting makes a lot of sense on a tile roof. One careful install, a hidden channel under the fascia, and nobody is back up on your tiles every November. You run the whole year from an app.
We also light events across the peninsula and near Liberty Station. Bistro strings over a patio, uplighting on a stucco wall, path lighting to the gate, set up ahead of time and taken down the next day.
Book by September 30, Save 15%
September bookings take 15% off. October takes 10%. November and December usually sell out, and Sunset Cliffs and the Wooded Area go early because the tree work adds time to each job.
Jobs start at $800. Year 2 and Year 3 run 10% under Year 1, since the design and the custom cutting are already done. Call or text (858) 315-1247 for a free consult.

FAQ
Point Loma lighting, common questions
- It does. Point Loma sits between the harbor and open ocean, and that air gets into any socket that is not sealed. We use commercial-grade LEDs with weather-sealed sockets for exactly that reason, and we replace anything that fails mid-season.
- Yes. We work tile from ladders and the roof edge, and the clips grab the tile lip or the fascia rather than getting fastened through anything. Nothing gets stapled, nailed, or walked on that should not be.
- Both, along with La Playa, Roseville, and the Wooded Area. The whole peninsula is one route for us, so an OB bungalow gets the same crew and the same materials as a Sunset Cliffs view home.
- Clip spacing. Strands are cut to your roofline and clipped at intervals set for wind exposure, which is tighter out on the cliffs than it is inland. If a section does loosen, we come out and re-secure it during the season.
- Our minimum is $800. That usually covers a straightforward single-story roofline with an entry treatment. Anything larger gets quoted after we walk the property, with one fixed price and no hourly billing.
